Leadership Rice

JudyLeJudy Le is the Director of Leadership Rice, responsible for administering a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities designed to help Rice students realize their potential for leadership. Since graduating from Rice, Judy has worked in the consulting industry, started her own business, and held positions in higher education. She has an extensive background in leadership development, having most recently served as the program director for Leadership Houston and prior to that advised several academic institutions regarding undergraduate leadership training. Judy also serves as a lead facilitator for LeaderShape, a weeklong leadership institute for undergraduate students.

Judy holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education Leadership from UT Austin and BA. in Sociology from Rice University.

  FeliciaFelicia Martin is the Associate Director of Leadership Rice. She has worked for over twelve years within the realm of education outreach and training. She is particularly passionate about what drives and motivates students, teachers, and organizations toward social action and change. In her current role Leadership Rice, Felicia supports in the development, enhancement and execution of leadership programs designed to help students uncover their passion, and to develop their skills as leaders. Prior to her work at Rice, Felicia served as an Education Specialist for College Summit, a national non-profit whose mission is to increase college enrollment for low-income students. There, Felicia spent several years developing content, and facilitating training for numerous organizational initiatives. In 2009, she was certified by the Interaction Institute for Social Change (Cambridge, MA) on Pathways to Change, a College Summit internal effort to increase organization effectiveness, build capacity, and align org-wide efforts through professional development. Her training expertise is in facilitative leadership, coaching, and change management.

Felicia has a M.A. in Organization Development from St. Edward's Univeristy in Austin, TX. She also hold a B.A. in Sociology from Rice University.  

JessieHendrixJesse Hendrix is the Assistant Director for Leadership Rice. He joins the team having served previously as the Director of Enrichment Services for the Athletics Department at Columbia University in New York, NY. As Director of Enrichment Services, Jesse was responsible for student programming, and for developing and implementing a comprehensive student-athlete Career Development Program for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education. Jesse managed 800 student-athletes across 31 sports, which provided student-athletes access to opportunities to learn career skills, explore career options, and network with alumni and employers. As a former athlete himself (having experience as a professional football player in the NFL, AFL, and CFL) - Jesse brings a unique approach, and diverse set of skills, to Leadership Rice, and the Center for Civic Leadership. He is passionate about challenging students to achieve their highest professional aspirations and providing them with the resources and opportunities to help attain their goals.

Jesse has a M.S. in Sports Management from Columbia University, in New York. He also holds a B.A. in Recreation Management from Eastern Washington University.
