Envision Grant

Deadline for Fall 2012 Envision Grant is Monday, October 22 at 9 a.m.

Vision: "To develop future leaders by equipping students to make their ideas a reality to create positive change."

Mission: "Enable students to become change agents and contributing members of their community by funding ideas and developing their leadership capacities."

Students are invited to take the lead in bringing their ideas to life by applying for an Envision Grant. The Envision Grant provides up to $2,500 in support of student projects that promote service or create awareness, foster leadership development, demonstrate ingenuity, and plan for sustainability. The Envision Grant provides start-up funding for individuals or group projects that generate a positive impact at the Rice, Houston, or global community. All the application details and process can be found on the Owlspace page below. Implementing a project funded by an Envision Grant is an excellent way for students interested in applying for prestigious scholarships and fellowships to demonstrate that they possess the initiative and ability to translate ideas to action. Previous projects funded include CelebrateART, the Color Cycle, Mini-Engineering Courses, Karma Patrol, Coffeehouse PDRs, Undergrad Research Symposium, Lovett Undergrounds, RUWiSE, and Owl Microfinance.

Got an idea? Make it happen with an Envision Grant. Application for the grant will be made available soon.

Be sure to check out the envisionblog for all the current projects and CelebrateART on their Facebook page
